The challenge

Stane's previous store was built entirely in GemPages. It looked the part, but under the surface it was fragile — pages were slow to load, difficult to edit across mobile and desktop, and the team couldn't make changes without things breaking. Worst of all, it wasn't converting the way a store this good-looking should.

Page speed was the biggest culprit. Heavy page-builder markup dragged load times down on both mobile and desktop, hurting both user experience and search rankings. Stane needed a store that was as fast and maintainable as it was beautiful.

The solution

We rebuilt Stane's entire store from scratch — pixel-perfect from their Figma designs — on a premium Streamline theme foundation with custom Liquid coded on top. Every page that had been locked inside GemPages was rebuilt as clean, native, fully editable Shopify sections.

That meant the Stane team could finally manage their own store — editing any page, on any device, without touching code or breaking layouts. No more page-builder lock-in, no more fragile markup.

Because everything was hand-coded in Liquid rather than assembled in a page builder, the store shed its bloat. Load times dropped dramatically on both mobile and desktop, and the shopping experience became fast, smooth and consistent across every screen.

The results

The rebuilt store didn't just look and feel better — it performed. Conversion rate climbed 8%, and page speed scores were transformed: mobile jumped from 35 to 88 and desktop from 65 to 99. Just as importantly, the Stane team got a store they could actually manage themselves — fast, flexible, and built to grow.
